Historical Registry

Organizing Jubilee Parade - Assiniboia Band in foreground. Aneroid.

The SHFS historical registry recognizes families who have a strong and continuous link with their community, specifically, families who have operated any business or farm, or lived in the same residence for 80 years or longer.

Certificates are free to SHFS Members. Non-members are assessed a fee of $20.00 per certificate. Each certificate measures 11 x 14 and is suitable for framing.

One point to note, SHFS historical recognition does not designate a location as heritage property, nor does it restrict property alterations.

Please complete an application form, and attach proof of ownership in one of the two following methods:

Method 1: A photocopy of the original deed or of the “75th” certificate you received from the Province, plus a photocopy of the most current tax notice.

Method 2: Have a municipal administrator verify the information, sign and officially stamp the application in the shaded area of the form.
